Charles Bowers
Buzz retired from Wayland High School in 1987. He has been married to his wife Virginia for 55 years and they have four daughters: Debbie, Nancy, Lee, and Linda.
Ned Burke
Ned sends a special thanks to his family for their support and encouragement as well as to the coaches “I was lucky enough to have teaching me at various times of my career and, of course, my teammates at Wayland High School.”

Mark Kowalski
Mark is very grateful for all of the support he has received . He would like to thank the Wayland High School administration, Booster community, and great schoolmates. “They were all critical to my success,” he says. “High school sports is all about the coaching. That is where we kids in Wayland really lucked out.”
Shari Krasnoo
Shari is very thankful to her family, especially her mother and father. Her father was a huge supporter of her high school career, attending nearly all of her games. He died when she was a freshman in college. “I dedicated my college career to him as he was always on my mind and in my heart.” She also credits her soccer coach John Mann, basketball coach Molly Walters, Donna Olson and Laurie Nelson, lacrosse coaches, and finally, all of her teammates “who helped us succeed.”
Richard (Dick) Morris
Dick and his wife Evelyn have been married for 47 years, have four daughters, and 12 grandchildren. He is especially grateful to the late Coach Ralph Salvati and to Assistant Football Coach Bill Frary. “It was an honor to play for great and notable coaches at Wayland High School for four years,” he said. “We had a great group of players that enabled us to be Title winners in all sports for our four years.”
Rick Moyer
Rick and his wife Ingrid met at Springfield College. They have three daughters: Kristin, Wendy, and Julie, and three granddaughters, Abby, Bizzy and Fran. He is a 40-year season ticket holder of the New England Patriots and a 13-year rider of the Pan Mass Challenge. He would like to thank Coach Fariel, Coach Parker, Dr. Zimmerman, Dr. Hennessey, and Buzz Bowers.
Melina Nappi-Kaehler
Melina enjoys spending time with friends, playing basketball, and traveling. She sometimes coaches youth basketball in New York City and participates in city-based charity running events. She is especially grateful for the support of her family and friends, especially “my mom, dad, and brother for their constant love and support and for the sacrifice they made along the way for my benefit.. Thanks to my coaches and teammates for helping me to become a better person, player, and friend. Thanks to John and Ruth Gove for all that they have been and continue to be for me – a constant support base.”
Tim O’Shea
Tim and his wife Beth have a daughter, Madeleine, 8. He sends a special thanks to Wayland Public School staff members Joe Porrell, John Kavaleski, and Bill Snow.
Laurie Raymond
Laurie enjoys a community of close friends on Cape Cod, where she has lived for the past 27 years. She would like to credit her parents, the late Loring and Edythe Raymond, “for their quiet and constant support of my enjoyment of athletics.”
Ralph Salvati
Ralph married Italia Caruso in 1942. She became his greatest supporter and was joined in that support by their three children: Linda, Pamela, and Stephen.
Mark Shepard
Mark and his wife Suzanne have two children, Cija and Shane as well as four grandchildren.
He has coached many youth teams including the Wayland Middle School’s hockey team. He sends a special thanks to his father, Coach Bill Morris, and his hockey linemates Rick Irving and Mark O’Keefe, whom he credits for his high school athletic success. “Without teamwork, nobody excels in hockey,” he says.
William (Bill) Sullivan
Babson College honors Bill’s memory each year with the awarding of the William H. Sullivan III ‘88 Memorial Award, given to a swimmer who exemplifies the many fine qualities Bill brought to Babson’s program. His family would like to thank his Babson College swim coach, Rick Echlov, “from whom he inherited the state championship Wellesley High School girls’ swim team. Rick encouraged Bill to become an outstanding swimmer and leader.”
Kevin Thomas
Kevin and his wife Ginger are devoted parents. “We spend most of our free time coaching and watching Samantha and Gabby play soccer and softball. We also enjoy watching Zachary and Kevin play soccer, baseball, and wrestling.” Kevin is especially grateful for the support given to him by his parents, Pat and Rocky Thomas, his four brothers, three sisters, Bill Snow, Rick Moyer, and Bill Holman.
