Jim Girolamo - 2002 Soccer

 

Girolamo was a vital cog when Wayland won the state championship in boys soccer in 2001 at forward. He set records for single season assists (18), single season points (40), career goals (40) and career points (69).

In soccer, was an all-star for the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and MetroWest News as well as being a two-time Dual County League First Team All-Star and an All-State selection as a senior.

During the winter months, Girolamo was a two-year member of the varsity basketball team as a guard.

Girolamo was also a standout in baseball as a second baseman and shortstop. He holds the distinction of being the only Wayland player to hit .400 twice in his career. He also set a single season record for hits and was a MetroWest All-Star and a two-time DCL First Team All-Star.

Girolamo played four years of varsity soccer and baseball at Fairfield University, graduating with a degree in marketing.
