Kara Keenan Sullivan - 1991 Lacrosse

 

Sullivan made a strong imprint on the local sports scene in soccer, basketball and lacrosse for the Warriors. She captained all three sports her senior year at Wayland.

In both soccer and basketball, Sullivan was a Dual County League All-Star her senior year, but it was in lacrosse that she really shined.
Sullivan led the state in scoring during the spring of 1990 (87 goals, 10 assists) and 1991 (114 goals, 27 assists) was the Warriors won state championships both years.

With numbers like those, the accolades poured in for Sullivan. She was named a First Team USWLA All-American as a junior and senior, a Boston Globe All-Scholastic and Player of the Year in 1991, a Boston Herald All-Scholastic as a junior and a senior, a Middlesex News All-Star as a junior and senior, an EMass First Team All-Star as a junior and senior and a DCL All-Star in 1990 and 1991.

Sullivan went on to play four years of lacrosse at Colgate University, earning a degree in history. She later added a masters in accounting from Old Dominion University.

Sullivan and her husband Gary have three children: Delaney (6), Mia (4) and Tyler (1). After working as a CPA, she is currently a stay-at-home mom.
