Melissa Maguire Moran - 1995 Skiing

 

Moran was a three-sport athlete, starring in soccer, skiing and outdoor track.

A four-year varsity player in soccer, Moran captained the team her senior year while splitting time between midfield and forward. She was a two-time league all-star.

In skiing, Moran was a varsity athlete for all four years and a two-year captain. She won Ski Meistern team honors for combined efforts in Alpine and Nordic three of her four years on the team. Moran also was named a Mass Bay West/Dual County League All-Star three times and a Boston Herald All-Scholastic as a senior.

A four-year varsity performer on the outdoor track team, Moran ran the 400 meters, 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay and did the long jump and triple jump. She helped lead the Warriors to two league crowns. She was part of a state championship 4x100 relay as a senior, a season she was also named a DCL All-Star.

Moran captained the Colby College Alpine ski team and graduated from the school magna cum laude in 1999.

After graduating summa cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in 2005, Moran became an associate attorney at the Ropes and Gray law firm in Boston.

She and her husband Mike are the parents of an infant daughter.
